Who let this guy in?

Luckily Rhodri ejected this undesirable from the bar before he could cause any trouble... Posted by Picasa

Arctic Monkeys...

It's well worth watching until the end of this video. Mental illness is a terrible thing...

Dodging Mountains...

Just thought i'd give you guys an idea of some of the terrain we fly over. This is actually quite tame compared to some of the places down here. PFL anybody? Posted by Picasa

Aerobatics!

Pretty soon (when the weather sorts itself out) i'll be taking one of these out and doing some aerobatics in it. The Robin 2160 Aerobatic Trainer is a seriously nice aircraft. Three hours of spinning, ballistic climbs, loops and god knows what else. I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully I wont feel the need to fill the sick bag mid-loop though. Posted by Picasa

Multi-Engine Goodness...

Once we dispense with the cursed Katanas hopefully we will be allowed to get our hands on one of these. The Diamond DA-42 "Twinstar" is a really sweet bit of kit and I can't wait to fly one. All going well that should only be a couple of months away, fingers crossed. Posted by Picasa

Arctic Monkeys

This is the best picture you'll get to see i'm afraid. It turns out my camera is allergic to the dark when it comes to taking still photographs. The videos turned out really nicely though. Go figure. Posted by Picasa

Legends!

Absolute hilarity ensued... Posted by Picasa

Allan's 25th in Auckland...

We all went up to Auckland for Allan's birthday last week and I can honestly say I don't think i've had such a good time in years. The friday night was sufficiently debauched to satisfy even me and the following Saturday was spent at Auckland city zoo. So much fun. Anyway, Penger seems to have a cube on his head for some unknown reason in this photograph. I'm as confused as the rest of you... Posted by Picasa

Mount Ruapehu

A different mountain this time. Mt. Ruapehu is where most of the skiing goes on in the North Island. The best bit is, and this sums up the entire country, the thing is a bloody volcano and it isn't even dormant. It last went up in 1995. There are whole resorts built on it for God's sake. Nutters. Posted by Picasa

CPL Qualifier: Pt. 2

If you look carefully you can just see Mount Egmont-Taranaki rising up above the clouds. Posted by Picasa

Mount Egmont-Taranaki

I took this photo whilst on approach into New Plymouth, halfway into my CPL qualifier flight. Four hundred and fifty nautical miles in a Katana might sound like fun but my body was broken for about three days after this flight. I saw some incredible scenery though and took quite a few photos. Posted by Picasa

Fancy Dress: Pt. 2

This was taken by a mate of mine in a bar in Hamilton city centre. Twenty quid for the first person to guess which one is me...

Fancy dress in the Waikato...

Fancy dress night in Peachgrove and everyone went all out. Some of the costumes were so funny I didn't stop laughing the entire night.

Five Below...

This photo was taken in this cool little bar in Auckland called Five Below. The entire place is made out of ice, even the bar, glasses, sculptures and walls. You are only allowed thirty minutes in there due to health and safety laws which is pretty funny. By the end of our time in there I was whinging like a little girl whilst the Scottish lass was made of stronger stuff and told me to pull myself together and act like a man. Which was somewhat hurtful. Those ice straws really chap your lips... Posted by Picasa

12,000 miles from home...

Had a nice surprise a while back when Gillian decided to pay a visit. We spent the evening in Auckland trying to find some nightlife (easier said than done on a Monday night) and had dinner at the top of the Sky Tower. The restaurant revolves through three hundred and sixty degrees so you have an incredible view whilst you eat. Posted by Picasa

Ireland vs. All Blacks

This photo was taken when we all went to see the All Blacks play Ireland at the stadium in Hamilton. Awesome night, awesome game. Posted by Picasa

Sweet baby jesus and all that is holy...

You could cure world depression with this photograph. Once everyone realises how much worse the Irish have it people would cheer up no end... Posted by Picasa

Bloody Hooligans...

If only I was on the walls of Chester with a bow and arrow... Posted by Picasa

The Aftermath: Pt. 2

After the fire at Peachgrove CTC took us all to the training centre at the airport to sort things out and pump a few beers into us. After a night of fire-fuelled terror and zero sleep we all passed out on the spot. Posted by Picasa

The Aftermath: Pt. 1

This is what Arnaud's room looked like after the fire. His room was about thirty metres from the blaze so you can imagine how bad other parts of the building looked... Posted by Picasa

Peachgrove is Burning!

After months of trying we finally managed to piss-off the locals enough that they tried to burn us out. Fair play. Posted by Picasa

Sexy Boys

Suneil just before he escaped back to the UK. AmIHotorNot didn't have a scale that went high enough for this photo. Posted by Picasa

Scotland's Finest

Continuing our tour of "The Outback" we find this specimen. Pisseduppis Scotlandii. Stunning. Posted by Picasa
